This dessert is a typical delight from England, without a doubt it is one of the simplest and richest desserts I have ever tried.
Hello everyone, today we will prepare an exquisite dessert of baked apple and whipped cream with condensed milk.
Ingredients
1.5 kilos of mixed apples
150 grams of sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
500gr of all-purpose wheat flour
250gr of cold butter
250gr of granulated sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
80gr of almond flakes
Whipping cream
Condensed milk to taste
Preparation
Start by removing the core of the apples and peeling them, we are using different types of apples to get the most flavor and different textures in the dessert. Cut them into bite-size squares and place them in a pan with some of the sugar and the juice of a lemon, mix well and cook until the apples are tender.
Meanwhile, prepare the crumble, mix in a large bowl the flour, the very very cold butter, sugar, a teaspoon of vanilla essence, coarse brown sugar to give a more crunchy touch and flaked almonds. Mix everything with your hands and reserve.
When the apples are ready, add as much crumble as you like, leaving the edges free so that the apple continues to cook and the dessert "breathes". Put it in the preheated oven at 200ºC until golden brown and crispy.
Traditionally this dessert is accompanied with vanilla ice cream or custard. We will prepare a delicious whipped cream with condensed milk. Take the whipping cream as cold as possible (I recommend that you put it in the freezer 20 minutes before using it), begin to beat it with the help of an electric mixer and once a dense texture is reached, add the condensed milk to your liking . Continue beating until stiff peaks form, but do not overmix, as the mixture may cut.
This is it, serve as much apple crumble as you want and accompany with this fluffy condensed milk cream.
